YouTube Channel
Standards 4a, 4c My school YouTube channel contains videos for sharing with parents, students, and other teachers. Some videos are open for public viewing, while individual student videos are only available for parent viewing. Only student or teacher created videos are posted, so no copyrighted material is included. *YouTube channel provided through Google+ Oregon, My Oregon Standards 3a, 4a, 5b, This "video" is actually just audio of my class singing 'Oregon, My Oregon.' Our music director taught the song, and I recorded the audio. *Captions, title and credits were added using the YouTube editor Class Blogs - Kidblog Standards 1c, 1d, 3b, 3c, 4c Kidblog is a blog site designed for schools, with password protection controlled by the teacher. My class used blogs to reflect on concepts from class, share ideas, and communicate with students during non-school hours. I modeled and gave feedback on how to appropriately respond to people in a blog environment through comments. *Kidblog is an online Web 2.0 tool. Goodreads Standards 1c, 1d, 2a, 2b, 3b, 3d, 4c, Goodreads is an online book review site. My students write reviews about the books they read, and read other students' reviews, learning how to critique and respond with appropriate comments.
